Mumbai Film Heritage

Thirty-five years of Mumbai film craft

Founded in 1990, NSDN Academy trains screen directors and cinematographers on practical production floors under working industry practitioners.

Directorial Leadership

Mentorship by Sudam Waghmare

Veteran filmmaker Sudam Raghunath Waghmare, director of the acclaimed Marathi drama Utarand, leads each batch personally on the production floor. His teaching strips away academic abstraction, requiring every candidate to block scenes, direct actors, and defend shot lists before rolling camera.

With over three decades directing regional cinema and television productions, Director Waghmare brings working industry discipline directly to emerging storytellers across Maharashtra.
